Ham radio operators are identified by unique international callsigns, assigned by local governments.
To become an amateur radio operator, hams, need to obtain a licence, that usually is assigned at the end of special courses and examinations. Ham radio operators, use 2-way radio transceivers and also links via computers, to connect to each other around the world.
