The 2E0VAJ-L Node No.468960 link is on 434.525 mhz and requires a ctcss tone of 71.9hz.
We are based in Boston Lincolnshire England WAB TF31 Locator IO92XX
Please remember that this is a simplex link and not a repeater. The Link is normally on between 14:00 and 22:00 7 days a week. Please also remember when using the Link from the internet that you will be heard on the air and therefore you need to give your callsign as in a normal QSO, but it is also important that you leave a extra gap between overs (about 4 secs) to allow for the change over from internet to RF and also for any station on RF to join the QSO.
First determine the DTMF code for the user you wish to call or the link or repeater gateway you wish to reach. A full list of connected stations appears at www.echolink.org/logins.jsp.
Ensure that the 2E0VAJ-L simplex link is operational by keying a "*" DTMF tone. The gateway node will respond with status information.
Press the PTT and key in the digit DTMF code for the user, link or repeater that you wish to link to or select one of the random link choices listed below.
If the link was successful, after a few seconds delay, the gateway will respond with a "Connected" message. If the link was not successful, key a "#" to disconnect the gateway
Following a successful connection, announce your presence on the linked node by calling CQ, etc. During a QSO using linked repeaters, let the transmit tail completely drop before transmitting to avoid any timeout problems.
At the end of the QSO, disconnect the link by keying a "#" DTMF tone. The gateway will respond with confirmation that the link has been disconnected.
Note: Answering a call made through the gateway is just like a simplex QSO - no DTMF is needed. Just remember to wait for the courtesy tone before replying.
To help mobile operators and regular users of 2e0vaj-l link connect quickly with a frequently called station a list of DTMF shortcuts has been created.
If any user would like to have any stations added to this list or would like repeaters added in a particular area please contact us.
